FREQUENTLY REQUESTED SERVICES:

I need assistance or counseling in meeting my medical and health needs. Who do I call?
The Health Assistance Program (498-7249) provides assistance for emergency situations requiring prescription medicines, doctor appointments, dental, etc. for those who are not covered by insurance, Medicare, or who do not have a drug card with their insurance coverage. You can also contact the free health clinic, Compassionate Care (492-9400) for counseling and assistance with your medical needs.

What agencies can help me with my emergency housing and/or utility bills?
Families with children may qualify for emergency rent/utility assistance through the Department of Jobs and Family Services (498-4981), the Alpha Community Center (498-9758),
FISH (492-1760), or the Community Action Office (492-8118).

I need food supplies. Who can help me?
At AGAPE (498-4368) you can obtain groceries, and at the Alpha Community Center (492-8412), 330 E. Court Street, hot meals are served daily Monday through Friday cooperatively through the Alpha Center and the Holy Angels Soup Kitchen.
